Aston is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer specializing in advising early-stage technology companies. He combines a decade of commercial law expertise with a keen interest in emerging blockchain technologies and evolving regulations.

Before joining Gosai Law, Aston practiced as a lawyer for 10 years at General Standards, one of Australia’s first law firms to specialize in servicing startups. Over the years there, Aston advised hundreds of individual startups, helping them navigate a broad range of legal and commercial matters - everything from foundational corporate set ups to eventual business sales and exits. As part of this, Aston also acted as the primary legal advisor for crypto and Web3 businesses.

Aston is passionate about helping founders build and scale their businesses and particularly enjoys working on capital raising deals. Having been involved in the crypto ecosystem since 2017, he brings firsthand knowledge of blockchain technologies and regulatory developments to every client engagement. 

Aston holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussens. He is admitted to practice in Victoria.
