Averell Sutton is a Corporate and Securities Attorney who serves as a strategic Consultant to Gosai Law, bringing over a decade of experience across financial services, digital assets, and regulatory law. His career spans high-level roles within international law firms, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and global finance and development agencies. Averell advises Gosai Law on complex matters involving token offerings, securities compliance, fintech regulation, and decentralised finance.

He holds a JD/MBA (Finance) from American University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Business Law Review and President of both the Venture Capital Group and JD/MBA Society. He began his career with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation as a Private Equity Analyst and later served as a judicial law clerk in the South Pacific.

Averell was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the European Union, where he conducted policy research and advisory work on cryptocurrency, blockchain regulation, and DeFi frameworks. He continues to consult for the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority and advises private real estate and fintech ventures across the U.S.

His experience includes advising on M&A transactions, securities offerings, fund structuring, healthcare finance, and bankruptcy matters. He is admitted to practise in New York, Texas, Florida, Massachusetts, and American Samoa.
