Profile

Edward Maggio is Special Counsel at Gosai Law’s New York office, where his practice focuses on regulatory compliance, cross-border commercial matters, risk management, and complex dispute advisory. He brings more than a decade of experience advising corporate clients, financial-technology operators, and international organizations on governance, operational integrity, and legal-risk mitigation.

Edward’s background spans legal operations, technology-driven compliance frameworks, and high-stakes litigation support. His work includes developing and implementing AML/CFT and KYC programs, guiding clients through multi-jurisdictional regulatory obligations, and supporting large-scale corporate initiatives involving digital assets, data governance, and cybersecurity-aligned controls. He has also provided counsel on commercial agreements, vendor management, and corporate documentation across technology, financial services, and emerging markets sectors.

Edward began his career handling civil, criminal, and business litigation before expanding into national-level mass-tort and international terrorism cases. His litigation experience includes involvement in matters before multiple federal district courts, and complex discovery and motion-practice environments. This foundation strengthens his ability to anticipate legal risk and structure compliance strategies that withstand both regulatory and judicial scrutiny.

In parallel with his legal practice, Edward serves as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in constitutional law, criminal justice, management, data privacy, and cybersecurity. His academic work enhances his ability to translate intricate regulatory and technical concepts into clear, business-focused guidance for clients.
